3,900 Candidates are Invited apply for Canadian PR through the New Express Entry draw

The Cut-off CRS increases by one Point in Federal Draws

On March 4, through Express Entry System, a new invitation was held by Express Entry Draw.

Following this move a total of 3,900 candidates, we issued the invitation through the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score requirement of 471. One point from the previous drawn of minimum score 470 on February 19 was increased to a cut-off score of 417.

The government of Canada held the largest draw ever two weeks ago, and 4500 Express Entry Candidates received ITAs.

The profiles of candidates on three of Canada’s main economic class immigration programs- — the Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class and Canadian Experience Class, are managed by Canada’s Express Entry Program.

The scores are awarded to the Candidates through Express Entry’s Comprehensive Ranking System, which considers factors like age, education, skilled work experience, and language proficiency in French or English.

The Invitation to Apply (ITA) is issued to the highest-ranked candidates for Canadian Permanent Residence. This is held through regular draws from the pool and immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). It aims to process the application for permanent residence within 6 months.

To meet with the years ITA target of 85,800 new permanent residents admissions, the government seems to issue a large number of Invitations in every draw.

This draw is the 5th of 2020, and it brings a total number of ITAs issued this year to 18,700.

Candidates who had the CRS score of 471, and entered in the Express Entry pool before the time set for February 24, 2020, to be applied for March 4 draw received ITA.

Express Entry-linked provincial nominee streams have been active, and candidates who receive a provincial nomination will be awarded 600 additional points towards the CRS Score. This puts the candidate in the front line for ITA.

The 600 points are valuable to candidates with lower CRS scores, who have not to meet the cut-off set in the Federal Express Entry Draw.

The provincial nominee streams do not consider the candidate’s CRS score or have a CRS requirement. The provinces in Alberta, Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Prince Edward Island and British Columbia have given an invitation to express Entry candidates to apply for a provincial nomination.
